Re: Sony AW-G170A DVD-writer review
During testing, only 8 brands of DVDs were tested. Could the results be squewed slightly against the Sony and NEC burner? Could this burner support other brands of discs that weren't tested for example Sony's DVD R discs? I don't think a burner should be tossed aside just becuase it doesn't fully support the brands of discs that are tested.

Re: Sony AW-G170A DVD-writer review
Considering the fact that though eight different brands were used most of these companies dont actually make their own discs.

Most of the discs are bought from either Mitsubishi, Ritek, daxon, CMC magnetics etc. So though there are more "brands"available they are basically using the same DVD's.

Hence the test score is quite conclusive as all these companies who actually manufacture the DVD's were covered in our choice of brands.
