Point-of-View GeForce 7950 GT

The Point-of-View 7950 GT is almost identical to the nVidia reference card except for the Point-of-View logo on the cooler. The card is also clocked at the same speeds as the nVidia reference card, 550 MHz for the core and the 512 MB of GDDR3 memory runs at 700 MHz. The card has two two DVI connectors and a combined component/TV-out connection. The card also supports SLI through its SLI Connector. According to Point-of-View the card is 100% HDCP-compatible, we haven't been able to verify this but we'll give them the benefit of the doubt for now.

When we tried to overclock the card it quickly became apparent that there was very little extra to be gotten from the GPU, we got a maximum overclock of 574 MHz that's 24 MHz up from the stock speed of 550 MHz. The Memory on the Point-of-View card was another story altogether. We managed to overclock the memory from its stock speed of 700 MHz all the way up to 864 MHz, not bad to say the least and a fair bit higher than what we managed to get out of the XFX card. Overclocked we managed to get a 3Dmark06 score of 5946 points.

Though the GDDR3 chips passively cooled the potential for overclocking does not disappoint .

The GeForce 7950 GT requires an extra power connector.

The software bundle that comes with the Point-of-View card consists of two games: Prince of Persia The Two Thrones and Brothers in Arms Road to Hill 30. The card also comes equipped with all the necessary cables and connections that you would need.
