You have to use a adapter cable to connect it to a network cable.

Because the Lifebook has a 13,3 inch 12880x800 widescreen and an Intel Core processor you'd be forgiven for thinking that you were dealing with a slightly heavier machine, yet Fujitsu Siemens have managed to keep the weight down to just 1 kilo. The Lifebook offers various connection possibilities through Wlan (802.11a/b/g), a standard network connection and even UMTS/HSDPA thus it caters to most users needs. Alas Bluetooth is optional and there is no modem though truthfully few people will miss the latter.

When we tried to connect a network cable we did come across a slight imperfection: apparently the VGA and LAN ports were too large and Fujitsu omitted these and used a proprietary slot that requires an adapter for the monitor and Ethernet ports. The connector on the adaptor may be familiar to some of you as these used to be supplied with some of the older Ethernet/Modem PC cards and were a popular service article at the better computer stores. Another flaw that we found was that the back of the screen is easily scratched and some extra care should be taken when handling the notebook.

The Q2010 is delivered with a dockingstation.

For those who use their laptop mainly at home or at work there is the docking station which houses a Dual layer DVD burner as well a VGA ,LAN and additional USB connection. Weighing in at 870 Grams it wouldn't be too much of a problem to take the docking station with you if you were planning to go somewhere for an extended period of time.
