Point-of-View sent us their 7900 GS Gamers Edition which comes overclocked as standard. Whilst nVidia’s reference card is clocked at 450/660 MHz, Point-of-View has ramped up the speeds for both the GPU and memory giving us 550MHz for the GPU and 700 MHz for the memory. Due to this the benchmark scores attained by the card are higher than those of either the Sparkle or XFX cards at stock speeds. The advantage of a factory overclocked card is that you get a full warranty even at the overclocked core and memory speeds. We were slightly disappointed when we tried to overclock the card further, it turned out to be the worst overclocker of the three. The card would not go beyond 585 MHz for the core and 705 MHz for the memory. The general specifications of the card are identical to that of the Sparkle 7900 GS.

Opening the box we find that it contains no DVD-software but we are pleasantly surprised to find both Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones and Splnter cell: Chaos Theory, definitely something to take into consideration if your thinking about buying a 7900 GS.
