ASUS EN7600GT HDMI
Next to an ATI-based videocard, ASUS also offers a model based on the nVidia GeForce 7600 GT chip. Because the other HDMI cards in this article use an ATI Radeon X1600 Pro or an nVidia GeForce 7600 GS chip, it should come as no surprise that this ASUS EN7600GT HDMI is the top dog in terms of 3D performance benchmarks. The GeForce 7600 GT is fast enough to play all modern games at the 1280x720 HD resolution of most LCD TVs, but it's not quite up to the task of gaming in Full HD resolution (1920x1080). This ASUS card is full height and offers a native DVI connector next to its HDMI port. This means that two monitors can be attached. The card also has a regular S-Video TV port. If desired, the videocard can then still be used in an HDMI setup. Sadly ASUS chose to equip the card with a standard, active cooler. This HDMI card can also not yet be found in online price lists.
