Connections

Although the new Dell screen does not have any speakers, it has some other nice little features; the usual DVI and VGA connections are present, but next to these this monitor also sports an S-Video and component connection, so a DVD player, camera or games console can be connected without any problem. A USB hub with four ports is present as well, of which two ports are on the back of the screen with all other connection, but two are cleverly placed on the side, and can be easily accessed. For those who like to have speakers on their monitor, Dell offers a sperately available soundbridge add-on.

Specifications

In spite of the changes in the looks of the Ultrasharp 2007WFP, the inner workings are alost similar to those of its predecessor. The new model also uses a LG.Philips S-IPS panel, although it is a slightly updated version. Because of this Dell claims a slightly higher viewing angle and a higher contrast. The actual response time has not changed in comparison to the 2005FPW model. A positive change is the support for HDCP on the DVI connection, which makes this screen suitable for Windows Vista,HD-DVD and Blu-Ray.
