PowerColor is the first to introduce a Radeon HD 5750-based graphics card equipped with a non-reference cooler. The card, branded PCS HD5750 Premium Edition, has been equipped with a Zerotherm cooler. The cooler is made entirely out of copper and transports the heat from the GPU to the 140 fins by means of a 6 mm thick heatpipe. The maximum speed of the fan is specified at 2500 rpm, at which the sound production stays under 30 dB.
Beneath the copper cooler lies AMD's 40 nm Juniper chip. The chip sports 720 active stream processors and its core and 1 GB GDDR5-memory have a reference clock frequency of 700 MHz and 1150 MHz (4600 MHz effectively). The GDDR5-memory is connected through a 128-bit memory interface. The card supports DirectX 11 and up to three monitors by means of the Eyefinity technology. The HD 5750 can also be used in CrossFireX-configurations.
Connectivity options include two DVI outputs, an HDMI port and a DisplayPort connector. PowerColor also bundles the voucher for DiRT2, which is planned for release in December. The card has a recommended price of US $139 and will be released on the 30th of October.
