The iMax Mini is Packard Bell's newly announced nettop, based on nVidia's Ion platform. The system bears a striking resemblance to competitor Acer's AspireRevo, which was launched almost two months ago. This isn't too strange; Packard Bell has become a part of Acer in 2008 and the shown nettop is nothing but the AspireRevo featuring a different logo.

The devices features an efficient Intel Atom N230 1,6 GHz processor, which is combined with nVidia's GeForce 9400 chipset. There's 2 GB of DDR2-memory present, as well as 250 GB of storage. Packard Bell's new nettop has six USB 2.0 ports, two audio-connectors, eSATA and both HDMI- and D-Sub for graphics.

Like Acer, Packard Bell will bundle its Ion nettop with a gaming controller, allowing for a Nintendo Wii-like functionality. Packard Bell's iMax Mini will become available next month with a recommended pricetag of £249.
