Engadget reports that Sony is entering the American netbook market. The image shown below displays the logo of the small Sony laptop, FCC registered with the model numbers PCG-1P1L and PCG-1P2L. PCG shows that the notebook is part of the VAIO line-up.

FCC also shows that the netbook is tested with Bluetooth, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and both EVDO and HSPA with Qualcomm's Gobi chipset. Because of the label's dimensions (128 mm in width), the netbook VAIO is expected to be sized 9.5 x 4.5 inch. The label also shows the Windows logo, which immediately reveals the used operating system.
