In the recent months, several Intel X58 motherboard introductions have passed the venue. DFI is now added to that list, the company presents the DFI LANParty UT X58. During the last report, the board was still under development and was pictured without its cooling. The first images of DFI's finalized version have now appeared and can be found below.
The LANParty UT X58-T3eH8, as the board is called, has an LGA1366 socket to house an Intel Core i7 processor. Six memory slots with DDR3-1333 support allow two triple channel memory kits to be placed. The cooling construction, branded Flame Freezer, consists of a remarkable external cooling block that transfers the heat away from the Volterra PWM's, the northbridge and the southbridge.
The board features three PCI-Express 2.0 x16 slots, which makes multi-GPU configurations possible with both ATI CrossFireX (x16 - x16 - x4) and nVidia's 3-Way SLI (x16 - x16 - x8). There's also eight SATA II-ports, one PATA and two Gigabit network connectors, as well as 7.1 audio, a Debug LED and a BIOS reset button. The board is equipped with the Genie BIOS Extreme Edition.
DFI's LANParty UT X58-T3eH8 has already been spotted in Germany at a price of €291,43. The price of the motherboard in the rest of the world is still unknown.
