Club3D shows that it cares for the environment with the launch of its economic series of GeForce graphics cards. By using nVidia's new 55nm GPU's, in combination with a redesigned PCB, these cards are a lot more efficient than nVidia's reference models. According to Club3D, the 'Green Edition' GeForce GTS 250, 9800GT and 9600GT consume respectively 20%, 30% and 40% less power than the reference model. All three cards will be released in both a 512 MB and a 1 GB edition.

The manufacturer has decided to use an alternative cooler on all Green Edition graphics cards. The used cooler is to work more silently than nVidia's own cooler. All five eco cards support DirectX 10, as well as nVidia's CUDA and PhysX functionality. The integrated PureVideo HD engine provides a smooth display of HD video.
