HP has launched a new 27" widescreen monitor. The 2709, as it's been called has a 16:9 aspect-ratio and is compatible with Full HD content. The screen features a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels at a 60 Hz refresh rate. The contrast ratio is 1000:1, where the dynamic contrast is specified at 30.000:1. The gray-to-gray  response time is 3 ms.

The monitor has DVI, HDMI and D-Sub inputs, can be tilted and features two 2 Watt speakers. Online, the HP 2709m costs about $500 USD.
