Gigabyte has revealed more information on it's P45-DQ6 motherboard, that is based on Intel's P45 chipset.  The board has a big copper heatpipe cooling connecting the chipset's heatsinks with the mosfets.  As usually Gigabyte has chosen bright colors, the pci-express slots are orange, the board features purple and yellow SATA ports and is built out of blue PCB.

The P45-DQ6 supports 45nm processors and a 1600MHz FSB and features four DDR2-1200 slots. Similar to the X38 chipset, the P45 has PCI-Express 2.0, however it has to cope with only half of the lanes, meaning that when CrossFire is enabled both 16x slots will run at 8x. Between the long PCI-Express slots there are also 2 4 lane slots which come from an extra IDT PCI-Express switch chip.

People with a lot of hard disks will be pleased with this motherboard, it features 10 SATA II connectors. Because the connectors are on the side of the board they won't get in the way of big graphics cards. There are also four USB headers, two old PCI slots, a PATA and floppy connector on the board. Something overclockers would appreciate are the extra buttons for power, reset and clear cmos on the bottom of the board.

The P45-DQ6's backplate is remarkable as well, it is equipped with four Gbit LAN ports.  With digital and analog connections for 7.1 audio and an added eight USB ports this motherboard is very complete. The only thing that seems to be missing are FireWire and e-SATA connections.
