AMD has announced two new energy efficient desktop processors. The X2 4450e and X2 4050e are both dual-cores with a 45W TDP that will replace models from the BE-2xxx series. The X2 4050e has a clockspeed of 2.1GHz, whereas the 4450e is clocked at 2.3GHz.

Both the BE-2xxx models as the new X2 4450e and 4050e use the 65nm Brisbane core. AMD claims that these two models will use up to 30% less power, significantly enhancing the performance-per-watt.
