Sapphire launches FirePSU 625 watt

Sapphire, a manufacturer known for its graphics cards and motherboards, has launched a new line of power supplies. The first model in this series is the FirePSU 625W, intended for use in desktop PC's and workstations. The FirePSU 625W features three +12v-lines, which have a combined power of 50 Amps. A temperature controlled 120 mm fan keeps the supply cool, the speed varying between 450 and 2000 RPM. 

Sapphire places the FirePSU line in both the professional and the consumer market. The supply is not only suited for AMD Opteron and Intel Xeon based workstations, but is also ATI Crossfire and nVidia SLI compatible. The PSU has modular cabling and bears the 80 Plus certificate.
