Last week, rumors appeared on the processor manufacturer AMD. In an interview CEO Dirk Meyer would have declared that AMD was to sell the two factories in the German Dresden. The sale of these factories would be part of the asset-lite strategy, which should lead to lower costs.

AMD has denied the rumors, reporting that there are no plans to sell the factories. Dirk Meyer's words would have been twisted, AMD's CEO spoke of a revision of AMD's production methods, not a sale of the production facilities.
