RaidOn has announced a module with two CompactFlash slots earlier this week. Combined with CF-memory cards that the user has to place himself, this is pretty much the same as an SSD-disk. RaidOn's module has the same size as a 2.5" harddisk and features a controller with an IDE- or SATA-interface.

The controller is able to place the two cards in NRAID, resulting in the capacity being the sum of both cards, sharing the data. Another option is RAID 1 (mirroring), in which both CF cards contain the same data so that nothing is lost if one of the cards fails.

The product should be available by August, prices are still unknown.
