Scythe has launched its latest big tower case, the Scythe Innovator in Japan. The colossal case is sized 605 x 550 x 208 mm and weighs 14.8 kg. It offers room for two ATX power supplies and comes with a special cable that makes it possible to link the two supplies together. The stylish design used looks a lot like Lian Li's PC-A17 big tower.
While the Scythe Innovator is created out of steel, the case features a plastic door in the front panel, which covers six 5.25" drive bays. The case also has four USB 2.0 connectors and a FireWire port on the frontpanel. Two external 3.5" bays and six internal ones are meant for the harddisks.
With the Innovator, Scythe isn't just thinking of a spacious design, but also tries to maintain user friendliness. The case has extra long thumbscrews for the side panels and PCI/PCI-Express expansion cards. The Innovator costs about €78,- in Japan, though it's questionable whether the case will become available in the rest of the world. More information can be found here.
