nVidia has officially announced that the SLI technology will be available for Intel's Bloomfield (Nehalem) processor platform. for this purpose, the company will create the nForce 200 SLI processor. It is rumoreed that nVidia will charge 30 dollar to motherboard manufacturers to use the chip on their Intel X58 motherboards. The chip has been used earlier in Intel's Skulltrail.

With the addition of the SLI multi-GPU technology for Intel's upcoming Bloomfield CPU's you will have a platform that can be powered by up to three nVidia GeForce GPU's, under which the GTX 260 and 280. The new SLI motherboards will feature the nForce 200 SLI processor, Intel's Bloomfield CPUs and the Tylersburg (X58) chipset. 

nVidia already reports that several manufacturers will add the 200 SLI processor to their motherboards and systems, known names to us on this list are Acer, ASUS, Dell, Fujitsu-Siemens, GIgabyte, Medion and MSI.
