With the WL-308 Wireless 300N XR router, featuring the StreamEngine technology, Sitecom claims to have created a device that would make gaming "lag free". The router would also perform great in things such as streaming HD-video and audio, VoIP and transferring large amounts of data.

The StreamEngine technology should allow the router to recognize application patterns in data streams automatically, and make it prioritize the programs that need the best performance. Sitecom also claims that the router could handle up to 30.000 open connections at the same time.

The router features three detachable 3dBi antenna's for optimal coverage. For gamers that prefer a wired network, the Gaming router has an integrated "5 Port Full-Duplex 10/100/1000 switch".

The router also has Pre-configured Application Level Gateways, so it can automatically detect the optimal settings for recent, popular online games. This list can also be adjusted and expanded. On top of that, the router features an "Advanced Scheduled Access Control" function to manage the internet traffic, for example: you could configure the times a computer is allowed to use the internet, and which pages are possible to be accessed.

The WL-308 Wireless 300N XR router has a WPS hard button to create a secured connection instantly. WPA-TKIP and WPA-AES encryption are also supported.

De WL-308 Gaming Router will be available by the end of July at a recommended price of 149,99 Euro.
