United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) has decided to distribute performance bonuses among its employees as an incentive to reinforce loyalty. The foundry also plans to sell treasury stock shares to employees at lower-than-market prices, in a move to boost employees' confidence, according to industry sources in Taiwan.
