Auf der aktuell stattfindenden Siggraph 2009 hat Nvidia die Optix-Raytracing-Engine vorgestellt. Sie soll Echtzeit-Raytracing auf Grafikkarten ermöglichen. Außerdem soll es ab Herbst Physx auch in einer 64-Bit-Version geben.
