While we're sure those white SD cards look good when paired up with the Eee PC, some more serious hardware is needed for Asus' popular netbooks and apparently the Taiwanese IT mammoth company known it. Facing more fierce competition these days, the Eee PC is expected to get some additional gear that will expand its functionality like an external hard drive, an external DVD writer and a 3G card. All seen below, the devices will all connect to the Eee PC via USB and will give the user more storage and connectivity options. The USB drive seems to be NAND flash-based while the writer is just a slim and seci burner. As for the T500 3G card, it will help the Eee PC keep up, feature wise, with netbooks like ECS' G10IL. No word on pricing or a release date for the Eee hardware yet. Photos courtesy of Laptop Mag.
