PEAK ups Slider flash drive capacity to 32GB

Taiwan’s PEAKHARDWARE has recently released the highest capacity Slider flash drive ever. Boasting 32GB worth of storage space, the new NAND-equipped drive measures 61 (L) x 22 (W) x 12 (H) mm, weights just 13 grams and features a retractable USB (1.1/2.0) connector which negates the need for a cap. According to its maker, the 32GB Slider offers average read and write speeds of 13.5 MB/s and 3.5 MB/s respectively and these are unfortunately pretty low, even for a drive that utilizes MLC (multi-level cell) NAND flash chips. The Slider series also includes 1, 2, 4, 8 and 16GB models.
