The combination of claimed playback options for all codecs and container formats, network support and a price of less than 100 euro make the device potentially very desirable. Until now, Full HD-capable media players with network support easily cost twice as much. Thanks to a new generation of chips, it has now become possible to acquire a Full HD player at a significantly lower price. The question of how the affordable newcomers hold up to the expensive veterans remains to be answered.
